Improper pesticide storage and disposal can be hazardous to human health and the environment.  Here are a few precautions to take from the EPA.
  • Don't stockpile. Buy only the amount of pesticide that you will need.
  • Follow all storage instructions on the pesticide label.
  • Never store pesticides in cabinets with or near food, animal feed, or medical supplies.
  • Always store pesticides in their original containers, Never transfer pesticides to soft drink bottles or other containers as they may be mistaken for something to eat or drink.
Finally, do not pour leftover pesticides down the sink, into the toilet, or down a sewer or street drain as they can affect the water supply.

Getting Your Dander Up
DogIf you have a dog or cat in your house, there's a good chance you have to deal with pet hair on your carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture. One easy way to remove it is to apply duct tape to a paint roller with the sticky side facing up and simply roll the roller over the surface. When the tape is full of hair, peel it off, and put on a new piece.
